high-pressure cryofixative

The METi platform has just acquired a new high-pressure cryofixation device for sample preparation in electron microscopy. Thanks to a pressure of 2300 bar and a cooling rate of approximately -15000°C/s, this equipment enables ultra-rapid freezing of samples of various sizes in order to immobilise them in a state as close as possible [...]

11/03 : Demystifying machine learning for microscopists

Our two Imaging Facilities, located in Toulouse (TRI) and Bordeaux (BIC), are organising a mini-symposium centred around machine-learning approaches, to take place on the 11th of March in Toulouse. Our aim is to make our Imaging Communities (light and electron microscopies) aware of the new methods available to process, segment and restore images. A […]

TRI, renewal of the NF X 50-900 standard

In January 2014, the Toulouse Cell Imaging Research Technological Platform, which has IBiSA labelling and is already ISO 9001 certified, was the first platform to be certified according to the new NFX 50-900 standard. Following this new audit, this certification has been successfully renewed. The NFX 50-900 standard was drawn up primarily […]

Fighting bacteria with Antabio

The company Antabio and the TRI-Genotoul imaging platform at the IPBS have just obtained ERDF funding to accelerate the development of therapeutic strategies against infections linked to the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a common pathogen in chronic respiratory infections. Bacterial resistance to antibiotics is a major threat to human health. If this threat […]

New resources within TRI

Several resources from the Restore laboratory (Oncopôle) are adding to the services offered by TRI-Genotoul. On the one hand, the national platform E-Cell France, which boasts numerous equipment and unique expertise in the field of quality control of cell lines, and on the other hand, a new imaging instrument, the mono- and bi-photon confocal microscope, are now integrated into the scope of services.

Cytometry technician recruitment

This technician position is to be filled as of 1 September 2018 in order to meet the needs of the cytometry platform at the Toulouse Purpan Centre for Pathophysiology (CPTP). View the job description

Connecting high-pressure freezing to the M.E.B.

Unlike photon microscopy, electron microscopy requires a heavy pre-treatment of the samples to be observed. The goal for electronic platforms is therefore to propose methods of observing samples as close as possible to their native state. The CMEAB platform has just developed a method of sample preparation by cryofixing that allows for the precise control of the sample size and morphology.

Presentation of the NSB3 lab for in vivo functional exploration at IPBS

The IPBS has made a significant investment to create a unique infrastructure to allow the functional exploration in vivo in BSL3 conditions. This infrastructure includes laboratories for cell culture (eukaryote and prokaryote), animal experimentation and housing as well as the equipment to perform analysis and cell sorting by flow cytometry, spinning disk microscopy and intravital […]

Microscopy intravital and endoscopy training

Video microscope

This training, labeled CNRS entreprise and taking place from November 12 to 14, 2018 in Toulouse, is intended for users who already have a basic knowledge of microscopy. It aims to train in endomicroscopy and in the tools for experimentation in the field of intravital multiphoton imaging and on tissue explants, whether for sample preparation or for histological analysis.

Thematic days: “Functional imaging of organoids”

At the initiative of the GDR ImaBio, these thematic days will focus on the functional imaging of organoids and will take place on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 March 2018, in Toulouse in the Pierre Paul Riquet amphitheater in Purpan. Visit the event page
