STIMULATED RAMAN MICROSCOPE

Mapping the chemistry of the living without labelling

Based on vibrational imaging (Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering, or CARS, or stimulated Raman scattering microscopy), Raman microscopy makes it possible to highlight chemical compounds within living, thick, unlabelled biological samples and thus to draw up high-resolution chemical maps within the sample.
