Tomography

Understand the volume using a TEM.

Electron tomography makes it possible to recreate volumes at the nanoscale using a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). Much like a medical CT scan, images of the same object are taken from different angles. Imaging software is then used to reconstruct the sample's volume and visualise it in 3D. Sample preparation is identical to that for observation using a TEM.
