ROCHE Partnership: Imaging supporting cancer immunotherapy

The pharmaceutical laboratory Roche and the Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology (IPBS) share the goal of developing strategies to combat cancer. While Roche is a major player in the development of immunotherapy strategies, the research work of the IPBS aims to identify and characterize new therapeutic targets in the field of cancer.

Sophie Allart, 2017 Inserm Innovation Prize

Sophie Allart © Inserm/Delapierre, Patrick

Sophie Allart, a biochemist and research engineer at Inserm and co-director of TRI-Genotoul, contributed to the discovery of the presence of the Zika virus within sperm cells. This project was made possible by the continuous improvement of super-resolution microscopy (STED), a technique that pushes the limits of conventional observation set by the standard resolution of 200 nanometers.

F.-E. L’Faqihi-Olive awarded by the CNRS

Fatima-Ezzahra L’Faqihi-Olive, head of the technical platform for cytometry and cell sorting at CPTP, affiliated with TRI-Genotoul, has received the CNRS Crystal Medal. This distinction is awarded to engineers, technicians and administrative staff who «through their creativity, technical mastery and sense of innovation, contribute alongside researchers to the advancement of knowledge and […]

Sample preparation for microscopy

The «Samples» working group of RTmfm and RCCM organizes a thematic day: Sample preparation for microscopy: from single proteins to model organisms, tissues and organs. https://trigenotoul.com/event/preparation-dechantillons-pour-la-microscopie/

3D architectures & cellular colonizations…

3D architectures are essential tools that, by recreating environments of biomimetic cellular cultures, enable the study of cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation. Researchers from the LAAS (CNRS), in partnership with the TRI-Genotoul platforms of the CPTP and Restore, have achieved this through laser engraving using a […]

An Airyscan high-resolution module at the I2MC

Following the Elyra PS.1 super-resolution system, the I2MC Imaging facility has acquired a new Airyscan high-resolution module implemented on a Zeiss LSM 780 confocal microscope. In addition to its 2 conventional PMT detectors, this microscope is equipped with a high-sensitivity GaAsP-type detector. Thanks to its quantum efficiency, which is twice as […]

Fluorescence microscopy training course«

CNRS Corporate Training

This 40-hour training course will take place in Toulouse from 16 to 20 October. It covers both the basics and the latest developments in fluorescence microscopy, namely: acquiring theoretical and practical foundations, understanding the advantages and limitations of various image acquisition systems in microscopy, and an introduction to developments in […]

7th Biosensor Group Meeting

This meeting will provide an update on bio-probe engineering and more specifically on new solutions, nanoparticles, and protein activity detectors for both in-vitro extracts and in-vivo imaging. Consult the full programme on the calendar

The LITC, CBI platform

The CBI, Centre de Biologie Intégrative in Toulouse, now brings together five research units (LMGM, LBME, CBI, CBD, CRCA). To remain consistent, this restructuring is also accompanied by a merger of the platforms affiliated with the different laboratories. This new structuring will notably make it possible to offer a wide choice of stations in terms of image acquisition, including widefield [...]

New website for the CMEAB

The CMEAB (Centre de Microscopie Électronique Appliqué à la Biologie) has just launched a new website designed in particular to better present its various services. This platform, whose core activity focuses on scanning and transmission electron microscopy, covers all the techniques accessible to the scientific community on this new medium. [...]
