high-pressure cryofixative

The METi platform has just acquired a new high-pressure cryostat for preparing samples for electron microscopy.

Thanks to a pressure of 2300 bar and a cooling speed of approximately -15000°C/s, this equipment allows for the ultra-fast freezing of samples of various sizes in order to immobilize them in a state as close as possible to their original state. This preparation technique preserves the ultrastructure and allows the capture of events of cellular dynamics.
