Review of the Demystifying Machine Learning seminar

Last March 11, the two imaging centers in Bordeaux and Toulouse collaborated to organize a mini-symposium dedicated to machine learning. «Artificial intelligence,» «machine learning,» or «deep learning» are terms that are increasingly used, but what do they really mean? More than 130 participants from all over France came to the symposium, and they discussed the following questions:
3rd & 4th April: “Advanced cytometry data analysis” seminar & training”

The cytometry platforms of the CPTP and the I2MC are jointly organizing with the Inserm training office an international workshop “Advanced Cytometry Data Analysis”. This workshop, led by Prof. Jonathan Irish and the bioinformaticians of the Computational Analysis Group of the French Cytometry Association, Quentin Barbier and Samuel Granjeaud, consists of a half-day session.
11/03: Demystifying machine learning seminar

As part of the GDR Imabio project, the imaging platforms in Toulouse (TRI) and Bordeaux (BIC) are organizing a thematic day around machine learning (ML) for image analysis in biology. Our goal is to raise awareness among the community of image scientists (electron and photon microscopy) about the “new” approaches to ML, highlighting the tools, their applications, and the benefits they offer.
4 Dec – Museum: Advances in in vivo imaging in Occitanie

Living organism imaging is experiencing a significant growth, resulting from the synergy of the skills of biologists, mathematicians, computer scientists, physicists, and chemists. Continuously, new equipment and new methods are emerging, allowing us to observe the functions of living organisms in three dimensions, in real time, in depth, from the single molecule to the entire organism. Researchers track the traffic or interactions of proteins of interest (price […]
Spectral analyser seminar

Principles of spectral analysis and its applications in biology The spectral analyzer uses spectral technology to optimize sensitivity and improve the detection of parasitic signals. Unlike the optical detection by analyzing the peak emission of fluorescence typically used, this innovative system allows the study of the complete spectral footprint of each fluorochrome. A seminar […]
Science Festival

Better understanding of plants to meet tomorrow’s challenges This year, the theme of the 27th Science Festival is about misconceptions. A good way to combat them is to show science in action. On this occasion, the FRAIB platform, a member of TRI-Genotoul, opens its doors to the public in order to share the results of its research.
Biology Basics for Light Microscopy Training Course«

This free training course will take place from 27 to 29 November at the CPTP. Aimed at non-biologists from the public sector working in platforms or laboratories in contact with biological samples, it enables participants to acquire basic knowledge in cell biology and biological sample preparation. Visit the event page
ImageJ Image Processing Training Course«

This training, spread over 2 periods of internship (September 27th and 28th and November 8th and 9th), aims to introduce the possibilities offered by the Image-J software and to convey the basics of the processing and analysis of digital images in biology. Visit the event page
IMARIS software demonstration

Georgia Golfis from the company BITPLANE will present for two days (September 12th and 13th) the software dedicated to image analysis “IMARIS”. The initial presentation will be followed by workshops during which participants will have the opportunity to work on their own content. See the event page
TRI-Genotoul at ESOF

Toulouse was chosen to host the 8th edition of ESOF (EuroScience Open Forum) in July 2018. Numerous activities for scientists and the general public are planned as part of this event. As part of the “in the heart of the city” festival (science in the city), the TRI-Genotoul platform is offering activities from July 7 to 14, […]
