The CPTP imaging platform is being strengthened

DdaviaudretAfter working within various research teams, Danièle Daviaud joined the Purpan photon microscopy facility under the direction of Sophie Allart.

Her career, which began in Strasbourg in digestive physiopathology, made her familiar with imaging techniques. However, it was during the restructuring of research units that she seized the opportunity to join an imaging platform, then at I2MC, Rangueil. Contact with users and the variety of subjects on offer quickly confirmed her interest in a position she now holds at CPTP, Purpan. On this platform, she provides training and support for numerous users on the site's three confocal microscopes.

«It is a profession where you bring something extra compared to routine laboratory work, what is more, something visual. With approaches that complement the bench, imaging unlocks many situations. The technical evolution of microscopes now allows for many technological applications that can answer numerous and diverse biological questions. It makes it possible to observe what we handle on a daily basis but see so little of, and therefore to understand many mechanisms.»
