The TRI-Genotoul platform, IPBS site, has just acquired the new Lattice structured illumination super-resolution microscopy (SR-SIM) technology, developed by Nobel Prize winner Eric Betzig.
The IPBS platform is one of the first to receive this equipment in France. This device will notably make it possible to overcome technological barriers related to the speed and sensitivity of life science studies at the subcellular level or at the level of microorganisms such as bacteria.
This acquisition, made possible thanks to funding from the Occitanie Region and FEDER funds, is also the result of a partnership with the company ANTABIO. The latter benefits in return from expertise in the field of Lattice SR-SIM microscopy for the preclinical development of its drug candidate.
This device will be made available to the entire scientific, academic and private community this October.
