Imaging explained to the general public

For the Fête de la Science, the TRI-Genotoul network provided equipment and experts to explain imaging techniques to both school children and the general public. This initiative, which is part of Toulouse's brand new «Quai des Savoirs», will continue through the autumn half-term holidays. The available microscopes will allow the curious to make an excursion into the universe of the infinitely small. Calling all enthusiasts...

The activities were kept running from 2pm to 6pm on 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 October. Combining the periods of the Fête de la Science and the October half-term holidays, more than 5,000 people (school pupils and the general public) came to meet the members of the TRI-Genotoul platform (figures provided by the Quai des Savoirs).

«Thank you to all members of the TRI network who mobilised for this event, gave of their time to share their knowledge, showcased their profession and strengthened exchanges between scientists and the general public.»
