As part of the State-Region Plan Contract (CPER 2021–2027) in Occitanie, the GENOTOUL–TRI-PHO project funded the acquisition of an FP7000 spectral cell sorter for the INFINITy Cytometry and Cell Sorting facility. This funding, provided by the State, Inserm, Toulouse Métropole and the ERDF, contributes to enhancing the technological offering and strengthening the support provided to research teams within the Toulouse scientific community.
Equipped with 5 lasers and 147 detectors, the FP7000 spectral sorter from Sony enables the creation of complex panels of over 40 parameters. Its spectral unmixing technology, combined with autofluorescence compensation, provides precise signal analysis, particularly for rare cell populations. The system allows the simultaneous sorting of up to 6 populations, at high speed and with high precision, as well as single-cell cloning into multiwell plates.
The acquisition of this equipment thereby reinforces the platform's capabilities to support research projects requiring increasingly complex and high-performance approaches.
