Biological imaging is experiencing remarkable growth, driven by the synergy of expertise among biologists, mathematicians, computer scientists, physicists and chemists. New equipment and methods are constantly emerging, enabling biological functions to be observed in 3D, in real time, and in depth from the molecule to the organism. The field of application for imaging is immense: the animal and plant worlds, from microorganisms to humans, as well as all the processes governing living things, from the earliest stages of an individual's development through to senescence, under both normal and pathological conditions.
This event will illustrate, through scientific results, the essential contribution of advanced imaging methods and equipment, combining approaches to visualise and quantify living matter.

Regarding the Highlight half-day:
This annual meeting, bringing together around 200 people, is for all researchers and engineers involved in or using imaging techniques. It provides an opportunity to review the latest advancements in biological imaging.
