Primarily intended for R&D professionals, the TRI-Genotoul network is also sharing knowledge derived from its activities more widely. From 7 November to 20 December 2024, the Université Paul Sabatier will therefore host several exhibitions: «Symbiose», created by the artist Pascale Gadon-Gonzalez in partnership with TRI-Genotoul; «Microbiologie, Molécul'Art», designed by Patricia Siguier & Michèle Coddeville; and «TRI-Genotoul s'affiche», showcasing the most stunning photographs taken by the network.

The «Symbiosis» exhibition»
Since 2017, the artist Pascale Gadon-González has been collaborating with the CMEAB, Centre de Microscopie Électronique Appliquée à la Biologie, Université Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier.
Her work and research lead her to question the interdependence of life-support systems. As early as 1995, she collaborated with members of the AFL (French Lichenological Association), learning from lichens that they are not what they seem, and lived a cognitive and sensory experience that would drive her to research and develop a «symbiotic praxis».
Her photographic work is situated at the crossroads of art and science, exploring the notions of otherness, symbiosis and interdependence. She focuses in particular on the lichen, an emblematic element of her research. Through her works, she questions the cognitive dynamics at the origin of art and biology.
On the Toulouse Faculty of Health website, two other exhibitions will be presented alongside the Symbiose exhibition: Molecul'Art and TRI-Genotoul s'affiche.
The aim of these two joint exhibitions is to introduce the Symbiosis exhibition by showing photos from the research laboratories and platforms that contributed in part to the production of the base images for the Symbiosis exhibition.
