ImageStreamX : Imaging Flow Cytometer

isx_2The ImageStreamX imaging flow cytometer combines the speed, sensitivity, and phenotyping abilities of flow cytometry with the detailed imagery and functional insights of microscopy. This system delivers multiple images of every cell in flow, including brightfield, darkfield (SSC) and fluorescent markers. The camera operates with a pixel size of 0.1/0.25/1 μm2 with 60X/40X/20X magnification, respectively, allowing visualization of fluorescence location from the membrane, cytoplasm, subcellular organelles or nucleus at high resolution. This instrument opens the door to an extensive range of applications in immunology, oncology, microbiology, parasitology…This applications include the study of cell-cell interactions, internalization, nuclear translocation, spot counting, apoptosis…

  • 6 channel images are collected using a CCD camera operated in TDI (time delay integration) mode

  • 2 software : INSPIRE (acquisition) and IDEAS (analysis)
