The ApoTome combines the simplicity of a benchtop microscope with the resolution of a laser scanning confocal. This system offers the possibility to produce optical sections like a confocal microscope, but with the addition of a structured illumination and correction algorithms. Furthermore, in addition to the ability to monitor a sample over time, this system can perform mosaics, thanks to a perfect repositioning of the stage.
