La microscopie \u00e9lectronique \u00e0 transmission (MET) permet donc d\u2019atteindre une tr\u00e8s haute r\u00e9solution (grossissement de x 50 \u00e0 x 1 200 000). Un faisceau d\u2019\u00e9lectrons de haute \u00e9nergie est transmis \u00e0 travers un \u00e9chantillon mince et l\u2019image se forme sur un \u00e9cran phosphorescent coupl\u00e9 \u00e0 une cam\u00e9ra num\u00e9rique. La MET permet de nombreuses applications associ\u00e9es aux diff\u00e9rentes techniques de pr\u00e9paration dont notamment des observations fines de structures internes de cellules, bact\u00e9ries,
