Ce microscope \u00e9lectronique en transmission, d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019observation haute r\u00e9solution\/haut d\u00e9bit d\u2019\u00e9chantillons biologiques et organiques congel\u00e9s dans de la glace amorphe est pleinement op\u00e9rationnel.<\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-6974\" src=\"https:\/\/trigenotoul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/talosartica2-1.jpg\" alt=\"Talos Arctica\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-6973\" src=\"https:\/\/trigenotoul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/talosartica1-1.jpg\" alt=\"Talos Arctica\" width=\"300\" height=\"276\" \/>Une des applications majeures de la cryomicroscopie \u00e9lectronique est la d\u00e9termination de la structure 3D de macromol\u00e9cules \u00e0 une r\u00e9solution quasi-atomique. Cette approche, qui a permis d&rsquo;acc\u00e9der \u00e0 la structure des coronavirus par exemple, ouvre des perspectives tr\u00e8s importantes en biologie structurale, pharmacologie, virologie, enzymologie&#8230; Lors des essais de qualification, une premi\u00e8re s\u00e9rie d\u2019acquisition d\u2019images a conduit \u00e0 la d\u00e9termination de la structure de l\u2019apoferritine, enzyme \u00ab\u00a0test\u00a0\u00bb bien connue des biologistes structuraux, \u00e0 une r\u00e9solution de 2.35 \u00c5 en quelques jours.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ce Talos Arctica permettra \u00e9galement d&rsquo;\u00e9tudier la structure tridimentionnelle de cellules ou d&rsquo;autres nano-objets, biologiques ou non, par cryo-tomographie \u00e9lectronique. Avec ce nouvel appareil, Toulouse entre dans le club pour l&rsquo;instant tr\u00e8s restreint des sites fran\u00e7ais \u00e9quip\u00e9s en cryo-microscopes haut-d\u00e9bit \/ haute r\u00e9solution.
