La bact\u00e9rie responsable de cette maladie a probablement \u00e9merg\u00e9, par des adaptations successives de voies m\u00e9taboliques d\u00e9j\u00e0 existantes, d\u2019une parente d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9sente dans l&rsquo;environnement. En parvenant \u00e0 reproduire cette \u00e9volution en laboratoire, les chercheurs sont parvenus \u00e0 identifier les mutations du g\u00e9nome bact\u00e9rien favorisant la persistance de cette bact\u00e9rie \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9volu\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb au sein des poumons de l\u2019h\u00f4te : celles-ci\u00a0 lui permettent notamment de mieux r\u00e9sister \u00e0 la r\u00e9ponse immunitaire. La plateforme d&rsquo;imagerie de l&rsquo;IPBS, impliqu\u00e9e dans cette \u00e9tude, a men\u00e9 les phases d&rsquo;analyses des images.
