No\u00ebl (LIPM) fait ressurgir, avec le concours de la plateforme imagerie FRAIB, les multiples r\u00f4les jou\u00e9s par ces structures si particuli\u00e8res, tout \u00e0 la fois soupape de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et talon d\u2019Achille de l\u2019immunit\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durant la journ\u00e9e, les plantes transpirent et \u00e9vacuent de l\u2019eau sous forme de gaz \u00e0 l\u2019aide des stomates, des pores pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 la surface des feuilles. Cependant, durant la nuit, la pression racinaire continue \u00e0 pomper l\u2019eau du sol vers les feuilles. Alors que les stomates sont ferm\u00e9s, sans possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9vacuation, la feuille pourrait mourir\u2026 noy\u00e9e. C\u2019est ici un des r\u00f4les premiers des hydathodes\u00a0: Ses pores l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus grands que ceux des stomates, restent toujours ouverts afin \u00e9vacuer le surplus d\u2019eau liquide. Situ\u00e9s en p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie des feuilles, ils excr\u00e8tent durant la nuit des gouttes d\u2019eau (c\u2019est le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de guttation), un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne \u00e0 ne pas confondre avec de la ros\u00e9e.
